• kanopy - link up your library card for free movies
• vimm's lair - retro game archive (note: sega and nintendo are really cracking down on this :[ i also recommend checking out archive.org)
• project gutenberg - free ebooks! usually older works or stuff in the public domain.
• libby - an app that links up to your library card so you can get free ebooks and audiobooks from your library. if you have a kobo e-reader, it also hooks up to overdrive so you can read on your kobo! a really nice alternative to the kindle storefront.
• calibre - free ebook library management software. i use this to manage the epubs i put on my kobo!
• itch.io - small storefront for games, really nice if you like small VNs and rpgmaker titles
• jackrabbitcherrybomb - (18+) a comic by my friend about two jewel thieves with options to read digitally or buy physical copies!
• the dogs - a short creative nonfiction story by my friend about dogs, two-headed selves, being kicked out by your family, science, morals, etc.. published to revolute lit!
• swan archives - a fansite all about brian de palma's phantom of the paradise. ran primarily by one guy who made a specific showing of phantom i went to with some friends incredibly special. check out the scene by scene page for an extremely extensive break down of the movie!
• the neitherland - this link specifically goes to her "bands/artists" page with lots of links to bands and artists she likes to listen to but you can still find a lot of them elsewhere anyway. goth/industrial/80s centric!
• allyratworld's new zealand EGL community zines - allyratworld has made some zines documenting the new zealand lolita fashion community's exploits over the past few years (2022-2024) and they are all available for free download via pdf (or you can buy physical copies). they are super fun to look at, have some lovely coords, and as us j-fashion fans know it's nice to have a physical documentation of the fashion somewhere, almost like a continuation of FRUiTS and GLBs with that modern new zealand flair!!

LISTENING STATION

• soma.fm - a commercial free radio hosted on the internet. my fave stations are groove salad classic, underground 80s, secret agent, and the dark zone.
• cathedral13 - like the above but curated to goth specifically. not as many stations to choose from but if you like goth, this is a nice place to find good stuff!
• obscura undead - another goth music show. a show put on once a week! note the mixcloud and twitch links.
• decayedlace - another weekly goth music show hosted on mixcloud!
• naggaroth wych - yet another goth dj on mixcloud
• in depth music - a youtube channel dedicated to finding underrepresented jams from the 70s and 80s
• elevator music - youtube channel that brings talented djs into a converted elevator to put on hour-long sets. great electronic variety
• f1rstpers0n - electronic music enjoyer who curates mixes. i especially love their future garage stuff.
• cream city fm - they say they create 'creamcore' music whatever that means but i mostly go here for more vaporwave and slushwave type stuff.
• cryo chamber - dark ambient legends. my favorite mix by them is easily songs for an empty world. they have a dungeon synth channel called cryo crypt now too!
• employee of the month - vaporwave mix just a commercial/office-themed vaporwave mix i really like and want to save here because i was trying to find it earlier after a few months and couldn't remember the name of it
