88x31.

other sites.
media resources.
- kanopy - link up your library card for free movies
- vimm's lair - retro game archive
- project gutenberg - free ebooks! usually older works or stuff in the public domain.
- libby - an app that links up to your library card so you can get free ebooks and audiobooks from your library. if you have a kobo e-reader, it also hooks up to overdrive so you can read on your kobo! a really nice alternative to the kindle storefront.
- calibre - free ebook library management software. i use this to manage the epubs i put on my kobo.
- itch.io - small storefront for games, really nice if you like small VNs and rpgmaker titles
- swan archives - a fansite all about brian de palma's phantom of the paradise. ran primarily by one guy who made a specific showing of phantom i went to with some friends incredibly special. check out the scene by scene page for an extremely extensive break down of the movie!
- the neitherland - this link specifically goes to her "bands/artists" page with lots of links to bands and artists she likes to listen to but you can still find a lot of them elsewhere anyway. goth/industrial/80s centric!
- waste.org/chemlab - an early web site dedicated to one of the coolest industrial acts, chemlab. lots of cool little chemlab resources here, interviews, links, lyrics, etc.! looks like this was last maintained in 2008.
- vertexmeadow.xyz - a tool that renders 2D images as 3D explorable terrain
- demon crane press - an indie publisher of east asian mystery fiction and mystery fiction commentary. considering there are so many amazing asian mystery novels aren't currently available in english, this is definitely a group to keep an eye on!
- natsukawa cottage - i believe this may be the person or one of the persons behind demon crane press, but i'm not 100% sure.
- sway translations - "translating japanese literature we think is worth translating, with a focus on mystery novels (and on mephisto prize winners)."
- weirdpunk books - more or less what it says on the tin with emphasis on splatterpunk and what they call 'weird horror.' i picked up their JG ballard homage anthology the other day.
- for steel you are - a solo journaling game about a robot who falls in love with a megastructure. based off BLAME!, obviously.
- pathologic dialogue - a dialogue tree of pathologic conversations: organized by game, route, character the player is talking to, and day. very convenient!
literature, articles, words (but not poems), etc.
- iwillneverbehappy's first reformed shrine(?) review(?) - i wouldn't call first reformed one of my favorite movies but it sits deep in your bones once you finish it and i think this is a great recounting as to why (+ personalizing it, of course, to the world of iwnbh).
- sick sad library's The Angel in the Machine: On the Post-Ironic Techno-Ethereal - an essay exploring tumblr's divine machinery tag and some of the ways it intersects with technology, theology, etc..
- saddleblasters' noise poetry - a post about noise music & performances and writing poetry about them
- jackrabbitcherrybomb - (18+) a comic by my friend about two jewel thieves with options to read digitally or buy physical copies!
- the dogs - a short creative nonfiction story by my friend about dogs, two-headed selves, being kicked out by your family, science, morals, etc.. published to revolute lit!
- 1 over x - posted by bavitz, this is the AO3 version. "There is a hole in the wall. / This is a horror story. It builds slowly, but it does pay off. Expect graphic depictions of violent and disturbing content. And please do try to keep thinking. You can never have too much information."
- the flower that bloomed nowhere - a supernatural mystery inspired clearly by umineko that i've been meaning to read for months and keep forgetting about so i need to put it here.
listening station.
- soma.fm - a commercial free radio hosted on the internet. my fave stations are groove salad classic, underground 80s, secret agent, and the dark zone.
- cathedral13 - like the above but curated to goth specifically. not as many stations to choose from but if you like goth, this is a nice place to find good stuff!
- obscura undead - another goth music show. a show put on once a week! note the mixcloud and twitch links.
- decayedlace - another weekly goth music show hosted on mixcloud!
- naggaroth wych - yet another goth dj on mixcloud
- in depth music - a youtube channel dedicated to finding underrepresented jams from the 70s and 80s
- elevator music - youtube channel that brings talented djs into a converted elevator to put on hour-long sets. great electronic variety
- f1rstpers0n - electronic music enjoyer who curates mixes. i especially love their future garage stuff.
- cream city fm - they say they create 'creamcore' music whatever that means but i mostly go here for more vaporwave and slushwave type stuff.
- cryo chamber - dark ambient legends. they have a dungeon synth channel called cryo crypt now too!
- KD radio - an online radio with a few different channels, focused on trip-hop, downtempo, jungle, and dnb
- dreamfibre - an ambient artist who makes soundscapes for relaxation and unwinding; he also makes all the 3D art used for these soundscapes (no AI). i really like the synthetic serenity works especially. you can also buy your favorites on his bandcamp!
